2.4 Regatta Boat Loan Program Overview:
2026 2.4 Canadian Championships 

September 11/26 to 14/26

2026 2.4 North American Championships 

September 15/26 to 19/26

Privately owned 2.4 NOD racing sailboats may be made available on a non-commercial loan basis to qualified sailors wishing to compete in the above regattas.The goal is to increase participation and facilitate attendance from visiting sailors.

A waitlist will be established. Priority will be given to active 2.4 racers.
Positions on the waitlist will be determined in the order that they are received. 

Availability & Timeline: 

Expressions of interest will be accepted up until July 1, 2026.

Boat availability is unknown at this point and will not be confirmed until shortly after July 1, 2026.
There is no guarantee that a boat will become available until after July 1, 2026.

At that time, the lender and borrower will be matched and commitments will be finalized in writing. Boats loaned will be 2.4 Norlin One Design Certificated but the manufacture, year, spar, condition and race history of the boat will not be guaranteed. Borrowers and loaners will be matched for final decisions.

Final decisions can be made before the late registration deadline of July 31, 2026.

Loan Period:

The loan period shall include the full duration of both regattas.

Up to four (4) additional days prior to September 11, 2026 may be made available for sailor warm-up at the request of the borrower and subject to owner approval. 

Core Loan Conditions:
• Borrower must place a cash damage deposit prior to taking possession of the vessel. 
• Borrower assumes full responsibility for the vessel during the loan period.
• Borrower is financially responsible for any damage occurring while in their care.
• The agreement is strictly between lender and borrower; the organizing authority acts only as a facilitator.

• The loan must remain non-commercial in nature.
